Women Who Rock awards to honour trailblazing women for a 6th year

Do you know a woman who has done extraordinary things during this past year? The Women Who Rock awards wants your nominations of women in the community who have forged a path, shattered a glass ceiling, or sparked a movement. October is Women’s History Month, and it’s the perfect time to honour women who are leading the community in so many different ways.

In 2020, I nominated fellow Hamilton Fempreneur leader, Kofo Owolabi for this award, for her amazing leadership in our group of local women business owners. Nominating a peer, a mentor, or a young woman who you admire for their talent, tenacity or take-charge attitude, is incredibly meaningful. Give some thought as to who you should nominate this year, as it could be a true opportunity for them.

Six women and girls will be honoured at this year’s award ceremony. The nomination deadline is Oct.10 with the awards gala on Sunday, October 24th at 2pm. The gala will be held virtually this year due to the pandemic. The nomination form can be found at: women-who-rock.ca

Women Who Rock Awards was established 6 years ago by Evelyn Myrie of EMPOWER Strategy Group as a local vehicle to raise awareness about women’s contributions to Canada and to honour local women who have made a lasting impact in the community or in their field of endeavour.
