Hamilton released a list of the Top 40 Fastest Growing Businesses in Hamilton this year. The catalyst for the program was a desire to see more Hamilton companies recognized on Canadian Business Magazine’s Growth 500 annual rankings (just four companies made it in 2016 and 2017). This past year saw 12 Hamilton companies now on the list.
The first step to achieving these results was the creation of the ‘Hamilton Fast 40’ list, which was started by City of Hamilton staff reaching out to successful companies and encouraging them to apply.
The Generator made the list.
I was pretty floored to have our modest company listed among businesses like craft beer fan favourite Collective Arts, Hamilton empire Carmen’s Group, and start up darlings Nix Sensor Ltd.
Seeing The Generator’s name listed in the Globe and Mail was a surreal experience; just four years ago, we were but a dream. Fast forward to today and we have a crack team of Hamilton’s most talented social media minds creating innovative content for Hamilton organizations, and creating success for Hamilton businesses using Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
What a ride it’s been these past four years, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2019.
